Computer Tutor

Mum was having some trouble with the laptop today. I couldn't be bothered doing it all for her so I sat next to her and instructed. Didn't get many cuddles though!

Scaredy - note she has a picture of you instead of me on her desktop - traitor!
Simon - See the bottom of Mum's Corpse Bride poster on the wall!

You're looking very regal there Plumpy, as should be expected.

Yes, it's important to keep her reminded about who is the boss!

Raelha said...

Re the diet: It seems you need to do a little bit more reminding.

By crikey Raelha, Plumps just gave you The Look.

You know the one I mean ;-)

Oh dear, I'm in trouble now. I shall have to find some way to make it up to His Royal Plumpness. Any suggestions?

You might be in the clear already;

It was very strange because as we waited for your page to load I was thinking he should put a link to you on his blog. What a surprise to notice you've beat me to it!!! And while His Royal Plumpness may pretend it's all a matter of course, we was as surprised as me.

So I think you may assume (from the purrs I hear as I type) that you've recovered your good favour ;-)

Hello Plumpy. I'm very pleased to meet you. Thank you for visiting my blog. You are a gorgeous ginger who obviously keeps things at home under control.

Ooooo, ya look furry smart sittin' there by yur 'puter.

Raelha said...

jls, good to hear I'm back in favour. Give his Highness a tickle in the ear for me just in case 'tho - the more purrs the better.

Plumpy said...

Hi Rascal and Catzee you are both very welcome. I think you've a bit too much energy for me though catzee - I like to supervise from a sunny spot on the couch. I do engage in the odd couch wrestle here and there, but you're definitley the king rascal!

At least those wee birdies are safe while you having that cat-gnap!

Plumpy said...

Just so you know Maalie, the ranch-slider is wide open, and the couch right next to it. I know what the birds are up to, when I'm dozing!

Plumpy, you runcible creature...

My three have just seen the link you've put up to my, sorry, their blog. They're all purring contentedly and looking superior now.

Ju's little sister said...

I told him the link would only stroke their ego's.

He told me if there was to be any stroking then I was to stroke his FUR!

But I see the link is up, all the same!

NZ - what great letters to have at the end of your verification.

You're right Maalie, I'm not to fond of this winter business. Summer is much more fun!

I wish I was allowed bacon for breakfast like you had. It wouldn't be a sacrifice either ;-)

Maalie said...

Plumpy, why do you think your blog gets a whole lot more comments than your mum's does?

Because I am Plumpy, Maalie.

Mum is just a human. Far inferior.

Hi Plumpy. That's a very fine picture on your computer!
My mum's back from her Atlantic wonderings and didn't even bring me a fish!
Got my own back by first sitting on the printer, then on the monitor and then leapt down onto her knee via the keyboard. She thought I would be pining for her, but have put on weight in her absense! Can you not learn to open a cupboard? Once you get the knack of the trick, it's quite easy, and then you can help yourself to all the food you want. The fridge is a bit more difficult though. And there's always those fantails.

Plumpy said...

Hi scaredy, I'm glad your Mum's back and okay. Stupid about the fish though.

Hmm, I'm still trying to work out how to open a normal door towards me without worrying about the fridge!

Mum is a tyrant though, she's very quick at closing things so I can't investigate.

Our doors don't fit too well, so I hurl myself at them, and sometimes they open, if I am jumping at them from the right side. If I am jumping at them from the wrong side, I just get a headache!
You aren't doing to bad with comments either, 22 now. And they say cats can't type!

Whoops, I signed in my mum's name by mistake.

Today's word: ivawig

I know I keep banging on about it, but I do so like the picture on your computer.
My mum has just updated her blog as she is feeling guilty because people think she is brave. Huh! Bravery is about stalking a bird against all odds.

Plumpy said...

Mum likes it too. She's such a traitor.

THE THIRD TIME I GET SMENITA FOR VERIFICATION!!!!!

lorenzothellama said...

Dear Plumpy,
Your Mum outrageously put on our blogsite that you were scared of cats! Cheek!

Actually, can you guess why I am called Scaredy?

Scaredy said...

Hi Plumpy,
Got into bed with my Mum last night and she ended up right on the edge of the bed with no duvet over her!

Actually she is covered with little bites and she is blaming me for having fleas! As if. I have my anti-flea medicine regularly. They must have come from that horrible dog of hers.

Come to think of it, that dog isn't allowed on the bed, but I am.

Raelha said...

Plumpy - our cats dash inside with bushy tales when the neigbour's tom comes a 'calling. Unfortunately he's learnt to use the cat flap, normally at about five in the mornin and then we get woken up by our three hissing and yowling at him.

lorenzothellama said...

Actually our cat flat has never been invaded by any other cat bar the ones we have/had. Oh Mushroom and Spider were lovely cats, and Splat was such a wicked one and Eeka was so placid and good natured even in the face of a two year old Musician! Badger used the cat flap when she was a puppy, but is too big now.

What I wanted to ask Plumpy, is it ethically right to cut cat's toenails?

Scaredy has such sharp little feet. He has taken to jumping into bed with me in the early hours, cuddling down on me and then sticking his toenails into my neck as he blissfully puts his arms around me. I do like him with me, but could do without the sharp bits.

plumpy said...

Well Mum and I have big fights over this. Mum think's that my claws are too long and too sharp and threatens to take me down the road to get them trimmed. So she's on your side Lorenzo.

But I say NO WAY!!!!!

Without CLAWS what sort of CAT's are we?????
Scaredy cats, that's what!

Raelha said...

Elbi loves to pad -with her claws extended. She'll jump onto me when I'm wearing my big fluffy dressing gown and pad for Spain.

Unfortunatley she'll also pad, and dig her claws, into my arms if the sleeves aren't all the way down. She also been known to try and pad my nose/chin, which I try to discourage.

Sometimes I have to put a scarf under her claws so they don't go through the fabric of whatever I'm wearing, otherwise it's like lots of tiny pinpricks and quite painful. Still, I wouldn't get her claws trimmed - we're in the countryside here and she needs her defences. With a gammy leg claws are even more essential!

Scaredy said...

Of course we need our defences. The very thought of trimming my nails!
